Dr. S S V R Kumar Addagarla is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) at NSRIT(A), Visakhapatnam. He is an academician, researcher, mentor, and academic administrator with extensive experience in teaching, departmental leadership, accreditation activities, and institution-building.

He completed his PhD in 2021 from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT),Vellore, Under the esteemed guidane of Dr. Anthoniraj Amalanathan , Director of CTS with the research title “E-commerce Product Classification and Similar Visual Recommender Systems.” His research work spans artificial intelligence, machine learning, recommender systems, computer vision, multimodal learning, and explainable AI. He is also actively involved in research proposal development, outreach initiatives, innovation ecosystems, and academic quality processes such as NBA, NAAC, and institutional academic planning.

His ongoing scholarly interests include multimodal recommendation systems, privacy-aware vision AI, smart campus analytics, vision transformers, and large language model–enabled explainable systems. Alongside research, he has contributed to academic leadership roles, faculty coordination, student mentoring, event organization, and industry-academia engagement.
